SF refried beans are easy to work with, fast rehydrating. Adding spices and seasoning to your personal taste is easy. I would suggest adding a little more water than package directions and using broth for a nice home cooked taste.

These are very creamy and easy to prepare. I wanted to add protein from beans to my emergency kit without having to soak regular dry beans in case water was scarce. Adding shredded cheese made these especially good. Very good price.

These are very tasty and very inexpensive. Best thing is they are easy to make and have many uses. I have used these on taco's and quesadillas and they taste just like canned ones.

Although I am not happy with the rather high sodium content of this product - I still consider it an excellent source of protein for my family. Perhaps adding the rice to the recipe will loweer the overall salt content...

Good for tacos, especially with a little taco-flavored TVP and homemade tortillas. Also good on crackers or pita chips.

Mmmmm So Good! + Great Value

We eat a good many bean burritos in our family. We started off using the canned refried beans, but didn't like the 'metal' taste that seemed to stick with the beans along with the added fats. We then moved onto canned whole beans which we liked, but still missed that refried bean burrito taste/texture. I tried soaking my own beans, but my timing always seemed off for when they were needed. When I saw these at TheReadyStore, I patiently waited for a sale to give them a try. Boy were we pleased!!! The taste and texture are wonderful. The nutrition is great, and the beans rehydrate quickly. These beans make a delicious and nutritious meal in a snap (I even eat them by themselves in a bowl with some cheese and green onions sprinkled on top - perfection!) I wait to buy these on sale and the price is cheaper than I would pay for the same amount of canned beans at the supermarket and the #10 can takes up considerably less space. Thank you ReadyStore for this awesome product!

Until now cooking a pound of beans for one meant eating for days and freezing at least half for later. I've been wanting to try "instant" beans for awhile. After shopping around online I decided to try these. Yum. I can prepare one serving at a time without filling up my freezer. Add just a little salt and in a few minutes you're good to go. So far I've made tostadas and bean dip topped with melted Velveeta (my secret obsession). I can see adding a fistful to a batch of veggie soup to add extra umph and volume.

This is the best version of instant frijoles out there.
Price

Pinto bean flakes are fast to prepare, but frijoles should have actual mashed bean chunks in them, not just gooey bean paste. These prepare almost as pre-cooked, freeze-dried fast as flakes, come out looking and tasting like actual frijoles, and allow you to add exactly what fat and seasoning you want, no yuk additives included. A truly excellent product.

Rather than consume a lot of time and fuel to prepare dried beans, you should have this product on hand that is so easy and quick and takes very little water.
