My washing machine broke down mid-cycle on a Satuday and it was going to be a few days before the repair man could get to me. I used this siphon to get the water out of the drum. Even though this wasn't the purpose I bought it for, I was glad to have it and it worked like a charm.

Your not going to want to have to tip those big barrels of water to get the water out of the bottom, this will do the job.

I bought one one of these from the readystore. It is important to have, very sturdy for being plastic. I wish you would get a shorter one as well.

I bought this a while back when I purchased my first 30 gallon barrels. Works well. I have added 55 gallon barrels to my supplies and will be getting a second pump because I cut the other down for the shorter barrels.

This is a great product that is much cheaper here than in stores. It is a must have because you need the ability to get all of your stored water out of your barrels without wasting water. This is the sure fire way to do it. Not to mention in an emergency you can siphon gas from a tank as well. I have two of these, 1 for gas and 1 for water.

I wanted a little more portable 15 gal water barrel rather than the 30 gal. This is too tall for the fifteen as it comes. Will cut it down and it will be fine.

You never know when you'll need a siphon in an emergency situation, whether for gasoline, water, or another liquid. This pump makes life so much easier!

I can't stress enough the importance of having multiple water pumps on hand for emergency situations! Two will be used for clean drinking water from storage barrels, one for siphoning gasoline, and the last for use siphoning water from a shallow well.

Don't expect anything fancy with this siphon pump but it will do the job. The hardest part for me was getting it to thread onto my barrel to create the vacuum. But once that happened I pumped it a few times and we had water. If you are using a hose or something to get water out of your barrels, you should for sure invest a little money into one these. It will save you a lot of time.

this product is what it is. Kinda flimsy, but it does a good job and what it does, siphoning water. I have no complaints about the job it does. The price is even fine.

this seems OK, it is basically for extremely light duty (just to get the siphon going) so i feel it will work & last ... it is light duty plastic, though, for my preps i am still on the lookout for something more bulletproof.

Keep Your Family Safe in an Emergency
This siphon pump is a great way to give your family access to your fresh water emergency barrels. Make Emergency Preparedness Convenient
With the pump there is no need to purchase another large spouted barrel just to get clean water. Simplify Your Life
The pump enables you to utilize large barrels instead of several small containers giving you more floor space for other much needed emergency supplies! Feel Confident in Your Purchase
As always a product you can trust from The Ready Store. You prepared for months to get enough water stored for your family in an emergency: rotating the water when needed, acquiring large barrels, and even ensuring it stays fresh with water purifier. Don’t let all that hard work go to waste! When the day comes that you need to rely on your stored water supply life will be so much easier with our Siphon Pump. Anything larger than our 5-gallon water containers will require something to help you get the water out. There is no assembly require, just place our siphon pump in your barrel or other large water container, give a few pumps and your water will be flowing through.

Not only can a siphon pump help with your emergency water needs, but they are handy to have around the house as well. They can remove the water from your clogged kitchen sink, empty your water bed, or use with broken washing machines, boat or pool covers. The siphon pump can pump up to 2 liters per minute. Because you don’t want to be pumping contaminated water, make sure you add water preserver to your order as well!

Your body loses on average 2.5 liters of water everyday (or 2/3 of a gallon), but can handle only a loss of about 10-22% of its water weight (which can happen at around 3 days with no water) before it becomes fatal.

"Having an ample supply of clean water is a top priority in an emergency . . . You need to have water packed and ready in case there is no time to fill water bottles when disaster strikes." --The Red Cross
At The Ready Store, we always focus on the QUALITY of our products first because we want you to get the best value for your hard-earned money.
