As with my spigot review...I suggest better information that a hole must be made in the center of the lid in order to get the spigot in there. Maybe a better fit between the two could be made that would not even require an instrument to make the hole in the first place.

    From The Ready Store:

Kimberly, I will make add to the product page that a hole will need to be made if a spigot is to be installed. Thanks for the feedback.

great quality with a good seal inside. Threaded for the spigot, and now they have a video online how to punch a hole to access the spigot. we bought several extras to allow us to reseal and tamper proof our supply, but lids are durable enough, they can be reused if you dont demand tamper proof safety.

I use this as an extra cap when camping in order to free up a cap with spigot to use as a 'dirty' spigot. I rotate the 'dirty' one from container to container so a dirty spigot never has to be turned inside a container or left out while traveling dusty roads in the back of the truck.

Nice to have extras. The seal breaks once you take the lid off, but we still reuse the lid anyway. We have extras in case we lose any lids.

3 1/2" x 1" replacement lid fits snugly and easily on your 5-gallon stackable water containers. Don't stress in an emergency
Having all the essential emergency items in storage means you will be ready for the unknown. Safety first
The opaque plastic material which prevents bacterial growth means you don't have to worry about toxins or chemicals getting in your food! Looking for an additional lid for your 5 Gallon Stackable? You've found it! Our 5-Gallon Stackable Water Containers lid has a knock-out plug that you can use attach the spigot for easy access to your water. Each lid comes with a tamper proof lid to ensure water safety and purity. The opaque white prevents light from penetrating the container to stop bacteria build up. Don't forget to buy the Water Preserver to get a 5 year storage life on your water!

PLEASE NOTE: To avoid leaking, tighten cap well. The vast majority are able to do so by hand. For those that are not able to fasten the cap tight enough by hand, we recommend using channel locks and Teflon Tape as needed.

Depending on what version of container you receive, some will come with an anti-tampering lid, when tightening the cap you will hear the anti-tampering ring produce a clicking sound. Some people make the mistake thinking that when it clicks the cap is tight enough but that is not the case, you need to tighten the cap until you can't tighten it anymore.
