Best water tank on the market!
105 of 181 people found this review helpfulI have been looking for the best water tank to protect my family in an emergency. After researching for weeks I can confidently state that this tank is without questiion the best emergency water tank available. You can find it cheaper elsewhere, but end up paying $300 for shipping. So the cost is the same or cheaper from the Ready Store and it is a reputable company. The tank arrived even earlier than promised. I filled it to test it and left it overnight. No leaks at all. It is very well constructed. The next day I drained it (also very easy) and refilled it using a drinking water safe hose, added 5 vials of water preserver and it is all set for 5 years! Thank you Ready Store for carrying such a great product. Now I know I have my family's emergency water needs covered. I highly recommend this tank.

Excellent tank
2 of 4 people found this review helpfulTank arrived in great condition. Vendor contacted me before delivery and scheduled delivery time. Only issue I had with the tank was a slight leak at the bottom valve. Little plumbers tape and tighten one turn and leak was gone. Excellent value and highly recommended.

perfect size
1 of 1 people found this review helpfulOrdered this product about 2 weeks ago. It fits perfectly in the garage. I got several versions of smaller containers as well for transport purposes but this is the best overall value for large amounts. The 500 gallon tank is so large it is hard to find a place for it. My only wish would be I had more money to buy 3 more, especially cause they are on sale right now big time.

Great water tank
214 of 380 people found this review helpfulI was glad to see The Ready Store started selling these again, I didn't get one before and made sure to nab one asap when they were back on. It arrived yesterday and I am very pleased with the construction. Everything came installed as seen in the picture and ready for me to add water and preserver.
I like how the two valves can attach to hoses for filling. They seem very heavy duty too. The thing is pretty heavy so I needed my husband to help put it into place THEN add water. I have yet to have him get straps to secure it to the garage wall but we will probably do that in the next week or two.
I also bought 4 waterbricks and a couple 5 gallon water containers to use as portable water movers for the water in the tank.3/22/11

Got it recently and I like it a lot
162 of 303 people found this review helpfulI just got mine this past week. Very happy with the quality. The valves are both high quality brass, a competitor I came across only puts a brass valve on the bottom and a plastic one up top. The strap groves are a nice touch too.

Excellent quality!
This tank is built very sturdy and will definitely hold up to hard use. When empty, it's pretty easy to move around by yourself. My friend is going to buy one after looking at mine.

Hard to store
2 of 6 people found this review helpfulThis just doesn't seem practical unless you have a large group or large family. Once you fill it, you most likely won't be moving it again. So I hope you would also have smaller, movable containers.
From The Ready Store:
Daniele, a very popular product that people buy when ordering this tank is the WaterBrick containers which are perfect for moving water. The valve up high on the tank makes filling buckets and water containers easy. As for being practical for small families it doesn't take long for a couple with no kids to use this tank up if they are using it for drinking and hygiene each day.
Thanks,

Looks like a great product, concerned about the weight
This appears to be a sturdy, well thought-out water storage product. The ability to have such a high capacity but fit through a doorway and be placed in a corner are great features. I am concerned about the weight, as I am worried that one ton in such a concentrated area on a cement garage or basement floor may cause the foundation to crack or break.
From the Ready Store:
Although the weight is in a concentrated area, your basement or garage floor should be able to sustain the weight. A garage does not have any problem usually sustaining the weight of one or two cars. We have also never heard from previous customers about such problems occurring, but should that happen please reach out to our customer service team and take advantage of our 100% satisfaction guarantee.3/24/13

Mine was NOT drinking water safe
1 of 2 people found this review helpfulI always do a dry run with my safety equipment, and when I used this tank for drinking water it made us sick. It after about 3 weeks, it leached so many chemicals into the water that it gave us heart palpitations and made our hands and body itchy. The taste of plastic was so overwhelming that it clogged brand new charcoal filters in just 2 weeks and the taste was overwhelming when I went right to the tap on the tank. I might have received a defective one, but all I can say is if you buy this, you'd better test it to make sure it isn't leaching chemicals into your emergency drinking water supply. You might be in big trouble if you need it in an emergency and find out your water is toxic.
From The Ready Store:
Russ, did you clean out the tank before filling it with water? We have videos on the product pages detailing how to do it. We have sold and shipped A LOT of these tanks around the US (as well as have several employees that own and use them in their homes) and this is the first time we have heard of these problems. We will be contacting you via email to look into this further and make sure you are taken care of.
Thanks,
