Excellent product..Love It!3 of 5 people found this review helpful
My wife and I live on a farm and have well water that has some contamination problems that need to be treated on occasion. This Travel Berkey Water Purification System does the job for us. It is ascetically pleasing, easy to use and produces clean, pure good tasting water! It's size works well for the two of us producing more than enough daily water for drinking, cooking and making coffee. The other reviewer stated problems with the spigot. As long as you tighten it well when putting it together there will be no leaking. A superb product!!

I've been studying all of the Water Purification Systems on this website. I particularly like this System because of the "Indefinite" time the replacement filters last. But this little one has a $54.00 price tag for the filters, so that is great comparitively speaking. I wonder if the whole thing fits inside itself for travel. I also wonder how many filters are needed for the system.
Dont Forget your Sight Glass Spigot
My wife and I love this water purifier. Easy to use, pour the water in the top and in a short time you'll have purified water. It was relatively straightforward to put together, though the spigot can be tricky to install. Anytime installing a plastic nut on a plastic thread, one must be careful not to over torque which would result in stripping the threads or breaking the nut. I know there are several sites that indicate the white washer be on the outside, but I reversed that because I could not get it to stop leaking until I reversed the two washers. Before inserting the spigot, push the black washer down against the backside of the spigot, use the nut to get it as close as possible against the spigot by tightening the nut against the washer. Back the nut off and remove the nut before inserting the spigot into the Berkey. While holding the spigot from the outside, place the white washer inside on the spigot with the tapered end to the outside. Push the white washer down as far as you can, now thread the nut on while holding the spigot. Keep the spigot lever pointed down while tightening the nut. When you have the nut as tight as you can by hand, use an adjustable wrench to hold the nut as you make the last 1/2 turn of the spigot clockwise until the lever is straight up. This will seal the the spigot by pulling the tapered washer into the spigot hole. The water tastes clean and pure, better than what you'd get in bottled water in my personal opinion. As it is hard to judge where the water level is, I will probably be purchasing the sight glass spigot. As stated before, my wife and I love it! Great deal here at the Ready Store.....
My research indicates that this is the best water filter to buy an emergency supply. 6000 gallons is a lot and it has a compact body and is easy to use. My order just came in and it arrived in excellent condition and in a timely manner.
Nice to have on hand
It's nice knowing you can always have clean water no matter where you travel.

I'm loving this water purifier. Super easy to use, just pour the water in the top and within a short time you have purified water (no more then ten minutes for the first glass and a gallon in less than an hour). It was relatively straightforward to put together, though we were missing a washer in the package (which the Ready Store remedied quickly by having the company send a replacement, received within two weeks). The water tastes clean and pure, just as good as what you'd get in bottled water in my personal opinion. I will probably be purchasing another one of these to put in the upstairs part of the house so there is always purified water handy. The only downside I experienced was that there is a little bit of leakage from the area of the spigot, however, we placed the purifier on a plate to keep the shelf from getting wet and it hasn't been a problem. I'm not sure if this is something that happens often or if it was just our model. We are in New Orleans which is excessively humid as well, so who knows if that plays a part. All in all, I love it!
