"I have purchased all the items from this product list both individually and as a kit from here and other places. There is no one company that has the lowest prices on everything but the Ready Store has the most of them with the greatest selection. This kit covers all the basics and some of the comfort things that you need to survive. There is enough room to add region specific items as well. Entertainment for kids is a necessary thing if you have them as its nice to distract them.

My issue with the kit is the tools in it. The knife in this kit is junk, there is no substitute for a quality multi-tool or swis army knife. I would not trust the knife included to open a can or keep an edge for more than 1 or 2 uses much less trust my life to the function of it. If you replace this knife in your kit with a nice multi-tool from SOG, Gerber, or Leatherman it is 100% of what you need to survive and 99% of comfort."

"This product is great and includes everything listed. I feel the price is accurate since if you were to go out and buy things individually, it will be just as much. Not too excited about the survivor bars, so I added MRE meals to have more variety, especially having young children. There was extra room in the backpacks to hold the extra meals and water! Or you could put a change of clothes, toys, coloring books, etc. "
