Another good way to have baked goods added to your food storage. It's good to have a variety so that you won't get bored. Plus it adds up quickly once you start acquiring these cans.
Horray! Now we can have cornbread even in emergency situations!
I've baked cornbread for my husband for the 46 years we've been married. To be able to continue to do so - even in emergencies - will help ease us through the possible hard times.
I make cornbread out of a standard recipe but I add corn and peppers. It's really good.
I bought cornmeal from another website when I first started storing food. It didn't contain real corn meal. This one does.
Must have food storage item! Great taste for cornbread, pizza crusts, and breadings. Great price, and it's real cornmeal.
Great comfort food
This is perfect for long term storage and will come in handy during an emergency situation.
You can do so much with cornmeal. It will be really nice to have.
Cornmeal is a staple food in the South.
My spouse enjoys cornbread every morning for his breakfast for the last 49 years! Now do you see its importance in my emergency pantry?
Great item, not-so-great price.
Coming from a long line of Southerners, cornmeal is an absolute essential for my pantry, the more the better. Unfortunately, the price here even on sale is still 50% more than at my usual supplier, so I will wait for a better deal.
While I'm on the subject of corn storage essentials, though, where are the grits? Gotta have grits as well as meal. Also, how come all those pintos/frijoles in the Beans ReadyPack, but no sign of any corn masa to make the tortillas to go with them? (No, wheat flour is definitely not a substitute, in flavor or nutrition. Even dry corn masa is not an ideal replacement for the *real* thing, but given the work saved versus grinding fresh, I'd take dry masa for storage--if I could find it.)
