My family enjoys whole wheat products. When i bake when i bake i like to use a mixture of equal parts white and whole wheat flour to insure the best nutrition in the carbs we include in our daily and emergency menu presentations. Your whole wheat flour has a sweet nutty flavor.

Since whole grain flour has already lost a good bit of quality sitting on a grocery store shelf, I like that this product is sealed until I want to use it - whether it be for current baking needs or long term storage.

This was just as described. It made good bread, and we have already tried it with a variety of recipes, all with good results (and being wheat it is of better nutritional value than the white flour, though I'm sure that would also work well). It is exactly what you expect flour to be, with the added benefit that it will last for a long time on the shelf. There is also the perk that even if you don't want it for the long term storage, but instead plan on usinig it now, the packaging is such that it will last longer than it's average store-bought counterpart and the container will keep the critters from invading when you least expect it. A great addition to your pantry!

I bought this because my family is trying to switch from white flour to healthier alternatives. I baked Blueberry muffins with this and they were a hit. I will be buying more.

Benefits & Description

10-20 Year Shelf-Life | DIY Flexibility | Great Taste

Make Food Storage Flexible
With Do It Yourself flexibility use the contents in a myriad of recipes. Protect Your Family and Your Investments
Wheat flour is the base of most meals and has vital nutrients. Be Prepared for Your Next Time of Need
With up to a 20 year shelf life you can enjoy the peace of mind that comes from being prepared. Make Your Food Storage Exciting
Great for the base of creative cooking. Make all kinds of meals with other supplies like chicken, beans, even fruits like peaches, and much more! If there is one food you don't want to go without, it's flour. When it comes to having food storage, there is nothing more basic and all-inclusive as wheat flour. Wheat flour is in nearly everything we eat, and can be used to make the simplest foods to the most complex. Think about it: you use wheat flour for making everything! So it makes sense to keep a LOT of this staple around in case of emergencies. Because disasters don't wait for you to be ready; and they certainly aren't going to give much (if any) warning. Something like an earthquake or a mudslide are hard to predict, and having enough food storage could very well save your life and the lives of your family members.

Beyond just wanting this excellent quality, whole grain wheat flour in case of natural or man-made disasters, it's also a great idea to stock up just in case. This "just in case" could be anything: you lose a job and can't afford to go grocery shopping, you have a child at home sick and you can't leave them, or even you're just tired one day and all out of flour to cook with. Having Saratoga Farms' whole wheat flour in this #10 can means that once you buy it, for the next twenty years you don't have to panic about running out of such an important food!

Saratoga Farms™ is a well-known and respected food storage company that makes and sells traditional basic dried and dehydrated foods. These foods are second to none in terms of quality and taste. We take great care to ensure the foods are packaged in optimal conditions with minimal moisture in a licensed and certified clean-room environment.
