Cheaper than little pouches1 of 2 people found this review helpful
Bought these for my mom who loves freeze dried fruit and it is and outstanding value for the amount of product you get.
We really enjoy having berries like this on hand. You can use them to make a quick smoothie or you can eat them directly out of the can.
For My Wife
I don't like raspberries, but my wife does. We don't store these because we only store what everyone will eat (maximize the utility of our storage space). I got my wife on board with prepping because of these raspberries. I told her that this is a sample of how good food storage can be. Needless to say, she's full on board now!
These are delicious berries. I'm not usually a huge fan of berries because they make such a mess. These eliminate the mess! They taste great, which makes them perfect for a healthy snack for the whole family.
No mess, no mold, no trouble. Great snack.
We mainly eat out of the can or use in smoothies/milk shakes. The kids love them!!! Pucker UP!!!!!!!!
This sale price is a good deal.
There is the equivalent of 4-1/3 pounds of fresh raspberries in this can, and the current sale price of $2.35 per ounce freeze-dried would equal $5.65 a pound or $0.35 per ounce of fresh/frozen raspberries. The store-brand frozen raspberries at my local store are $0.37 per ounce right now, and name brands are more like $0.50 an ounce, so this is a price I'd consider stocking up at. The best price I have seen lately for freeze-dried raspberries is $2.25 an ounce with an occasional sale on them at $2.03 an ounce, but those are in mylar bags, not cans, so this is a fair price for raspberries packaged for very long-term storage.
I'm thinking it's time to make a raspberry-pear pie. :)

This is a great tasting product straight from the can or reconstituted. It will be hard to keep them in the pantry now that my wife and kids have tried them.
