  I purchased this to add variety to my #10 can pantry, and also because it is one of the more economical Entrees. It turned out to be one of the Kids Favorites.

  The Saratoga Farms Rice and Chicken is a good entree. I like it better than the Mountain House Rice and Chicken because it has a more homemade taste to it. I noticed they changed they're ingredients a little with the Saratoga Farms brand since I bought it (I'm reviewing for the old ingrediants). It used too have real chicken not TVP. I'm not against TVP but real chicken is real chicken and I'd definitely want my main protein source to be from real meat.

  The first time I tried this I didn't really like it because the rice was still crunchy. Then I just learned that the rice entries take a little longer (or just use boiling water) to "cook" compared to the pasta, but it is perfect and tastes wonderful once the rice gets done. Now we love it.

  I purchased several of these #10 cans for long term storage, but when the box arrived, we found one of the cans had a significant dent in it. So we decided to open it and try it. We were pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to prepare and how tasty it was. I had heard that the portion sizes were not realistic for adults, so I doubled the portions. We ended up having a lot left over!

However, sometimes during shipping the cans can still dent due to air pressure or mishandling of the boxes.
