I tried throwing a handful of these (rehydrated) in with a roast I was making. They tasted good but I think I put them in too soon and they didn't hold their form. Didn't affect the taste just the looks.

A great deal for a quality product! Just try to dehydrate your own vegetables and see how much time it takes and how costly it would be to fill a #10 can. One comes out way ahead purchasing freeze dried produce for the cost and diversity of uses. Easy to use, no worries about spoilage, is a great product for daily use or long time storage.

Add some celery, onions, milk or soup base, powdered sour cream or chicken boullion and you have a wonderful potato soup.

I was raised with egg potatoes. Merely fry the potatoes until cooked, add a scrambled egg or two and cook until the egg is done. Salt the mixture and put between two slices of bread spread with mayo. You can also eat it plain but it adds protein to the potatoes.

Just added a dozen cans to my supplies. I will be using some now and keeping some for just in case. I already have plenty of dehydrated potatoes socked away for a rainy day. But these are very quick to prepare and need no real cooking. A great alternative.

Carbs, vitamin, flavor for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Freeze dried potatoes can be turned into anything that dehydrated potatoes are used for but fd potatoes can also be used for meals like steak and potatoes which I think is harder to accomplish with dehydrated potatoes.

We camp from end of November through first week of April and so we use a lot of dried foods. Since we volunteer on an island, we have to take a boat to go to the grocery. This is the great in soup and stew. Will be trying it in more ways this winter.
