I have grown and dehydrated my own onions for years! I spend days chopping, (crying), dehydrating, (making my house smell), then bagging onions. These don't have as strong of a flavor but they are so easy!

Peeling and cutting up onions are big chores I rather not undertake. To have them handy for soups, stews, spaghetti sauce is a real blessing.

  • Less like onion pieces and more like onion flakes

I was very disappointed in this product. I thought I could reconstitute this and have onion pieces to saute. This product is very much like the dry onion flakes you can buy to flavor your soups, meats and etc. I think this product is more of a seasoning then a vegetable.
