Potatoes are easy to add things to! Easy-to-use slices can be combined with bacon bits, chicken, or peas! Disasters and emergencies can happen anytime, anywhere. Most natural disasters don't have much or any warning, and even the ones we know about are difficult to prepare for. Emergencies can mean anything from losing your job to having a sick child, and those too can happen without warning. Any of these scenarios can cause terrible damage; and in the more drastic cases, you'll have to work just to make sure you and your families are safe. If a natural disaster is severe enough or hits a wide enough area, you could be without supplies or help for days or even weeks.

In all of these cases, you don't want to have to worry about what's for dinner. Whether it's an earthquake or just a rough patch in your career, these dehydrated potato slices can help simplify your life for less! Because potatoes are filled with essential carbohydrates and other vitamins, they're one of the best foods to have around during a time when you might need all the nutrition you can get. And because these are dehydrated potatoes, they require no cooking or preparation. Just add a small amount of water, and you have a tasty meal, ready to go. This time-saving, nutritious alternative to other food storage will allow you to have some peace of mind—since you'll know that you are prepared for at least one aspect of a disaster. Don't go unprepared—save money and worry now with Saratoga Farms dehydrated foods!

Excellent addition to my hamburger hash
Do you find this review helpful?  Yes No
I make a hamburger hash with sliced potatoes, and these are great in the hash. When I buy regular potatoes, I usually end up throwing some of them in the trash because they go bad. No waste to these. FYI, here is my recipe for the hash - quick and good. Brown 1 lb. hamburger in a large skillet. Stir in 3 Tbls. flour. Add about 4 cups of water. Add 1 Tbl. onion powder, salt and pepper to taste. Add 3 large handfuls of potato slices that have been previously rehydrated. Stir occasionally and simmer until potato slices are tender and the mixture is to the consistency you prefer. Enjoy!

Quality Product @ Great Price!

A great deal for a quality product! Just try to dehydrate your own vegetables and see how much time it takes and how costly it would be to fill a #10 can. One comes out way ahead purchasing freeze dried produce for the cost and diversity of uses. Easy to use, no worries about spoilage, is a great product for daily use or long time storage.

These are great. They are cheap and taste as good as you want them to, just spice them however you like. These are a lot easier than dehydrating your own potatoes too.

Staple Product
Do you find this review helpful?  Yes No
If you're family is anything like mine, then it's meat and potatoes. And then more, meat and potatoes. The potato slices from the Ready Store is a quality product. I recently used it in a "meal in a jar" to make scalloped potatoes. The dish came out very well and the potatoes were as tender as I could have hoped for. This is a staple product that everyone should have in their stockpile. I highly recommend it.

Important to have in kit.

This is great to have in your kit. You can add it to stews, hamburger, chicken or make has browns out of them. These are potatoes so they could be a tiny bit more affordable but you get them in a long lasting package that you don't need to worry about for years.
