Food Storage Must
We were very happy with the service and the product received. A great way to supplement your food storage and add variety to your vegetables. Fresh Asparagus when you need it. Will be purchasing more.
A healthy, delicious vegetable in any situation!
Don't know how i'd missed ordering this asparagus before. It is a richly nutritious vegetable that we enjoy using to make a kind of vegetable omelet . I would use this with your whole egg product and dehydrated onions. Can't wait to get it home!
Great as a soup
I just made a leek soup with asparagus and the flavors went together well. Onions could be used instead of the leeks, but I added vegetable bouillion cubes and basmati rice along with chicken broth. Add very small amounts of carrots and celery too.
Thereadystore seems to offer everything these days. Who would have thought you could even have asparagus in an emergency situation? Thanks readystore.com.
Very delicious and tasting especially vegetable in soup.
We consider asparagus as a "Cadillac" vegetable.
It is usually expensive at the grocer's, but more reasonable at the Ready Store freeze dried version. It has many health properties such as being anti-carcenogenic.
Good price for asparagus
This is a pretty good price for asparagus that will last 30 years! I use it primarily in soups, because the pieces are too little to serve as a side dish...the texture would be strange. But again, fabulous in soups and casseroles.
Just made a wonderful instant asparagus soup with this.
Canned asparagus shouldn't happen to a dog, fresh is very seasonal, and frozen takes more work to turn into soup than freeze-dried. Why? because freeze-dried is crispy, and therefore you can partially powder it *before* putting it in the soup, so no food mill/blender/processor time and mess required. I'm loving working with freeze-dried.
