I bought 60 or so packets of these to add to my 72 hour backpacks and the emergency kits in my cars, as well as to my food storage. I opened one and they were as tasty as any raisin/nut mix, but with a substantially longer shelf life. I imagine that they'll provide welcome variety if we ever need to open them in an emergency situation and will be fine as an everyday snack item if/when we'll rotate them in a few years.

As a diabetic your nut and raisin mix is a better choice for me than the mix with m & m's.

This is a good mix if you don't like chocolate, but I like the version with M&Ms better. To each her own, I suppose.

This is a nice, great tasting snack/trail mix. I keep these in my 72 hour kits because they provide good nutrition and are light weight. Snacks are always a good thing to have around, if anything just for a morale booster. Good mix overall and great taste.

This is just like any trail mix, so I don't see the reason why you would want to buy it this way. You could vacuum seal a giant pouch and it could last just as long. It's good, but it's the same as any other. You are paying for the fancy pouch and individual servings.

The MRE Nut and Raisin Mix is made from our contracted manufacturer—who also makes these products for the U.S. military! Simplify Your Life
This slim profile pouch is convenient and 100% self-contained. These MRE snacks are small, lightweight, convenient, and packed with calories and energy, a perfect addition to any emergency kit or emergency food storage supply.

MREs (Meals Ready-to-Eat) are the operational ration employed by the U.S. military because of they are easy to prepare, extremely durable, self-contained, and provide excellent nutrition and energy. They are the perfect solution for grab-n-go emergency food supplies such as 72-Hour kits and are an optimal solution for short-term emergency food storage.

An MRE can be eaten cold right out of the pouch, but they always taste better hot, so be sure to include the flameless heaters with all your MRE purchases. These convenient heaters only require a tablespoon of water and produce enough heat to warm your MRE in a matter of minutes without having to light a stove or clean any cookware.

All the contents of the MREs are contained in an aluminum-lined polyethylene and have a 5 YEAR SHELF LIFE. At The Ready Store, we always focus on the QUALITY of our products first because we want you to get the best value for your hard-earned money.
