I try to get what I can when I can. I try to budget aside an amount each month for prepping supplies. Sometimes I have a little left over to purchase things like this. This is a great value for the money and it is cheap enough that you can keep your shelves stocked without breaking the bank. Please note, however, that MREs should only be a portion of your food storage.

So I bought a case of 24 for the elk hunt this year. I got the package & realized that I forgot to buy some flameless heaters. I spoke to a nice girl at the call center and she told me I can heat up my MRE's by putting the entree in a cup of hot water form my camp fire, I didn't know that the MRE's are that versatile.

If you are traveling around in a larger group, this case could be good for you. At around $3.50 an entree it's beneficial for large groups that don't want to deal with carrying the extra water to make mountain house meals or worry about portions. They do weigh more though.
