So after eating and remembering how great MRE's are I did a search and found The Ready Store. I was excited to know that I found a new supplier for my MRE's and also that

good value - came with heaters
159 of 294 people found this review helpfulI ended up buying these since it seemed like a good deal AND they came with heaters, a couple of the companies I checked out sent you a year supply with no heaters at all. You do need to realize that 432 heaters does not give you a hot meal every meal for a year, I bought some more so that I could.

Good for large groups
I wouldn't recommend this for a family of two (no way to eat all of the MREs before they go bad), but it'd be great for larger groups or families. Definitely want to rotate these, else you'd just be throwing $8K down the drain!

Excessive
5 of 8 people found this review helpfulUnless you have an army to feed, this seems a little excessive. When comparing the shelf life and price of mre's vs. freeze dried I feel like you can get a much better price for freeze dried and get exactly what entrees you want. If you are not using this for storage than I feel like you would have to start eating your stock the minute you got it to not have to eat it every day, before the shelf life is up. This takes up a lot of space and needs to be temperature controlled as well.
Comment from The Ready Store:
It is important to factor in everything when comparing the two in their totality. For one the MREs don't need water. This will save people money on containers, water treatment, and space. No doubt from a literal side by side comparison on the site there is a difference but by the time you use both products the price difference won't be AS large as it appears here.
