I love these for camping. I put them in my emergency kit, but I keep stealing them for when I go camping. I know I am probably weird, but I really think they taste good. The crackers are dry and the cheese spread is not what I eat, but the main pouches of food are always good and so are the side stuff and the desserts. I love that I can get a hot meal so easy in the great wide open!

My only real complaint is that you don't know what flavors you are going to get. I would like to pick the exact flavors that I want. The meal I received was pasta in tomato sauce and I was surprised at how much food is in there. It tasted great, did need a bit of salt but that is personal preferences. The oatmeal cookie was to die for although it was hard as a brick! I wish the cost was cheaper, I would buy a ton of these things!

Darren, we wish we could offer customers the ability to pick. The problem is the MRE manufacturers are frequently changing their flavors. As a matter of fact we can't even ask for certain entree flavors. We get what they send us. No flexibility on our end.

Good for a quick meal or in a BOB. Not as good as the Mountain House or Saratoga Farms meals. Would recommend at least a case or two to if the SHTF so you can spend time getting where you need to go.

No water required was what got me, much better than freeze dried and storing water. The meals taste pretty good, I was surprised. The desserts taste like the packaged cakes and stuff you would get with like a school lunch and the cheese and crackers taste just like the kid snacks too! Good taste, So easy! Good for kids, although they may need help ripping the pouch open, that was a little tough.

I would call this a deluxe mre meal. If you look at other they only have an entree, drink, cracker, cheese or peanut butter, and dessert. Sometimes no heaters are included. In this one you get 2 desserts and 2 snacks, although I'm not a fan of raisins. This meal may be a dollar or so more than others, but it has much more included.

These are pretty good for MRE's and fill you up as well. Plus you dont need to buy the heaters because these are self heating. I store a lot of these incase of emergency.

I think I had my expectations a little high by reading different sites and their reviews of MREs. It was definitely edible and there were several parts of the meal that were fantastic but the entree wasnt a grand slam.

Maybe if I was camping and was really hungry then I might have appreciated it better? lol

I tried one of these meals to see what they were like. Received the spaghetti and was pleasantly surprised. Better than I expected. wouldnt want to try to live off them but perfect for BOB and would be a nice change-up from freeze dried if .

When I was a kid we had C-Rations in case of emergency. These are way better! They still have the cracker and cheese/peanut butter combo, but no chocolate bar (a girl needs her chocoalte...even in an emergency!)I tried the Southwestern Style Chicken with Black Beans and Rice. I gotta say...this tasted WAY better than what was in C-Rations...it looked (and tasted) like real chicken, beans, and rice. Has a bit of spice to it and could have used some salt (but I like salt on everything.) I also had a chocolate chip cookie and a brown sugar toaster pastry. They were both yummy. It took me a bit to figure out how to use the heater pack (watch the demo videos first..wish I had) and definitely don't activate the heater pouch in a tightly enclosed area...it's a bit stinky. I would really, really love it if we could choose our own entree...but worst case scenario, if you get one you don't like you could use it for trade. I'm definitely picking up a few more.

Hey, these are very good for what they are supposed to do and be. No, it's not fine restaurant dining but I've eaten in cafe's that I would have rather had these MREs. Plus, you can eat'em hot or cold--the heater is a must in my opinion. Another bonus--you can eat the entree hot and the other packaged stuff later if you are on the move. In an emergency, you'll be glad you got'em and they certainly beat K-rations.

I loved the meal. I got mine with a toaster pastry with brown sugar and brown frosting and an oatmeal cookie. the main entree was pasta with garden vegetables in tomato sauce. i liked it but I just wish I could choose a combination of items in the full meal. They show you a list of what an M.R.E. contains but it doesn't include all the main entrees. It just shows you the different meals you could get when you order it I would give it a full five stars if the ready store allowed you to chose your entry and sides.
