Loved this!
46 of 90 people found this review helpfulI received this back in December and LOVED how it came in pouches. Well most of them did. Definately had three days pouched where the desserts and additional meals were not pouched, but loved it just the same. Had heaters and I tried one of the meals, I was skeptical at first but it was pretty good, it was the vegetable stew with beef. It had about 3 different varieties, would be nice for 1-2 of each to get more of a feel for the other mre's but it's still a good deal regardless. If you order a survival kit, it makes a great addition.

Water pouches
3 of 4 people found this review helpfulYou would think that the water pouches would be odd, but I have had them and tested them really well. After throwing them, stomping on them, walking on them, we were very shocked that they were not damaged at all! Also, even in harsh conditions, the water tastes just fine!

Great
This was a great combination of food items. When you open it up it looks like a lot more than you expect. Not only are there the essential entrees but the snacks and desserts could potentially go a long way to making the food stretch if you really needed it to. This is a good item to stock up on.

Good meal overall
270 of 499 people found this review helpfulI have only tried one of the 15 I got but it was pretty good. The main entrée was boneless pork rib, the side was clam chowder, the snack was a strawberry toaster pastry, and it came with grape jelly and a wheat snack bread (also came with utensils).
The heat pack got the pork ribs nice and hot and very quickly. Overall the taste was pretty good considering how small and light it all was. Very pleased overall.10/6/10

Great to have on hand, all inclusive food and hydration
54 of 112 people found this review helpfulI enjoy these 3-day complete packages with everything you need to feed and hydrate one person for 72-hours, and then some if you ration further. A must-have for anyone's 72-hour evac kit.
I even keep a complete single meal package in my day pack for day hikes, just in case I have to spend a night for any reason.2/3/12

A must have for your 3-day kit
58 of 112 people found this review helpfulThese boxes have 3 days plus (if rationed more) to feed and hydrate a single person in an emergency. I take the packaged complete meal (entree, side, dessert, snack, heater) in my day pack on day hikes, just in case. I do add individual instant coffee packs that I get from the local (unnamed) coffee store chain.
While the MRE has a decent shelf life, it is not as long as the freeze dried food.2/3/12

bang for the buck
37 of 71 people found this review helpfulI added these MRE's to replace the "bars" in my dads 72 hour kit. With the heaters and water, a hot meal is a big morale booster in an 'event'. MRE's don't taste the best, but when they are heated, it makes a world of difference and this kit has it all.

good combo
1 of 3 people found this review helpfulI really like this bundle! It really does have everything you would need as far as food and water. I do wish it came with the water boxes and not the pouches, but water is water. What I don't understand is why you get 9 desserts and only 3 snacks. That seems odd to me, I personally would rather have crackers and cheese throughout the day and not cake 3 times a day.

If you don't want to think....
If you just want to store somethng away without thinking about what to get or what you will need then get this. It has water and food for three days for one person. This meets FEMA guidelines. However, it's a bit pricey. But like I said, if you just want to get something and be done without doing research of shopping around, get this!
