"I'm a police officer and I carry Mainstay bars in my patrol bag for those days when I either don't have time to eat a regular meal or when I'm just not in the mood to eat a regular meal. I found out about them from a coworker who usually eats them as meal replacements. One day he let me try one and I was amazed at how delicious they are! To me, they taste like a sugar cookie with a very slight hint of lemon. They are a bit messy to eat but the great taste makes up for it. I could eat em every day if I had to!"

"I would classify them as biscuits with a very light lemon taste. The taste was pleasing and they quickly dissolve into a pleasant puree if taken as recommended with liquid. They are not over filling at first and do keep a satiation over a period of time even when the individuals are moderately exerting themselves . They are very crumbly which I would see as the biggest drawback. Think of a family of 4 in a land situation producing so many of the tiny crumbs as to attract rodents and insects. The packaging is good but will puncture and lose vacuum with rough handling. The packaging is waterproof and easy to open. I really like these and will be using these for my hiking trips as a part of my base nutrition. "

"So I bought this as well as some MREs to see what I would like to put in my 72 hour kit. Once I opened it I did get alot of crumbs on my lap but after I broke off a section & bit into it I was amazed at the flavor. It was like a sugar cookie with calories!!"

Pros: Delicious Taste, Extremely Convenient, Small Size
Cons: Low Durability
