  I just ordered 4 packages of this to keep in my freezer for use in my bread machine and for emergency situations.
  
  The long shelf life makes it an excellent bargain and addition to my emergency supplies. I no longer have to discard the expensive active yeast packages after expiration dates.

  Used this in both hand mixing and bread machine (zojirushi bbcc x20) and it worked fine. For a 1 pound loaf in the machine, used 1 tablespoon which is a little more than what I use for the true "bread machine" fast rise but not much more. To test viability of your yeast before use: In measuring cup: 1/4 cup warm water, 1 teaspoon yeast and a couple of pinches of sugar. Set this in your sink and check in a couple of minutes. This one started working fast and in five minutes foamed up to top of cup.

  I've used this yeast for years, with amazing results. No proofing needed, just mix in with dry ingredients. In an less than optimal situation, this yeast will perform because it's very forgiving. The Ready Store has the best price I've found yet.

  This yeast worked great! It would've been nice if there was some kind of resealable package, but I just dropped it in a ziploc bag and stuck it in the fridge so it would last longer. I'll be buying lots more!

  I have had to drive an hour to get to the nearest Sam's Club just to get an updated supply of yeast. I try to have this large container of yeast like this just in case. It is nice to see that the Ready Store also carries this.

  After paying 2 dollars for 3 1/4oz packets at the store I was about to give up making my own bread. This is such a STEAL compared to grocery store pricing on yeast. I bought 2 packs and will be baking up a storm.
