This is the second rice entree I've tried and haven't been too terribly impressed. The flavor is definitely what you'd expect of a teriyaki dish (sweet, salty, soy, etc) which is something I ordinarily enjoy... but not so much this one. I'd definitely try one before buying a case, or any large quantity.

This was good, but not one of my favorites. You really have to like the flavor of teriyaki. But if has good nutritional value.

I gave it a 5 for Quality because I didn't expect its taste to be too good. I was surprised. This would be something I will put into my bugout bag.

I'm not too big a fan of the teriyaki, it tasted a little odd. I normally like that kind of sauce.

This entree is more expensive than others and I feel like the teriyaki is overpowering. You wouldn't want to eat 2 servings on your own. You'll definitely need water with this one.

All the contents of a Mountain House pouch are freeze dried to allow for a 10 year shelf life. Mountain House has also tested the pouches 30 years after the manufacture date and they were still safe to eat and good.
