I actually didn't buy these for an emergency but for our Scout trip. Really good price for Mountain House pouches.
Great assortment... good taste!28 of 50 people found this review helpful
This provided a very good variety of food, with the only exception being the granola with blueberries which 12 pouches is probably a bit too much of one item. I'm thinking that may be because there are limited cereal-type options available by MH. I'd highly recommend it for a start toward building easily transportable emergency food stores.
Over all Good12 of 19 people found this review helpful
Over all the ordering experience was good. For my planning purposes, I like the pouches better than the #10 cans as rationing is easier and if needed preparing meals while on the move is extremely easier. The only drawback is the price when purchasing in bulk. I would like to see a better price point when purchasing bulk order pouches.

I purchased this item for emergency supplies. But, of course, I had to try something. The eggs and ham supplied more than enough for two people, and they were so good and easy. The granola and blueberries, especially the blueberries, are delish! Again, more than enough for one breakfast for me. So glad to have freeze-dried foods readily available. Thank you for offering them!

We love the all the choices in the pack I have had most of these MH products before while camping and now I will be getting for food storage great to have them all together and it covers of all three meals Yum!
Great way to try different meals!
Love this 1-Month food supply! This was one of my first purchases from The Ready Store, and it has given me a chance to try the selections before I purchase the #10 cans. Not only are they great for your regular prep storage, they are so convenient to stash in your bug-out-bags, car, to share with friends, etc.
Stretch out your storage
I think these are most helpful for supplementing your food storage in the immediate aftermath of an emergency, i.e. when your power is out and everything is so confused that you can't handle much more than boiling water. A 1 month supply for 1 person would be a good head start for a family of 4 (i.e. 1 week of food) until they could get their feet under them.
good for groups3 of 5 people found this review helpful
I don't think that this is a good option for one or two people to stock up on, but I do think that it is good as a bulk discount for larger hiking groups. I don't think it would be good for one or two because the pouches force you to make more servings at once than you would want to.
