Great kit10 of 14 people found this review helpful
I bought this kit a month ago and finally got around to storing it away in my basement yesterday. Aside from the great variety and price I LOVE how The Ready Store publishes the complete nutritional details for their kits... from what I have seen no one else shows all of the details - probably for a reason.
Did Lots of Research2 of 3 people found this review helpful
I spent hours a day for about a week comparing several websites, looking into what each supply contains. Debating whether I wanted classic, flex, or ready prep. When it came down to it, this kit was right for us. This is our starter kit, as there is my 3 year old son, my wife and myself. If you get this instead of the 2400 ready prep, it allows you to buy more focused packages depending on your preferences. We chose some specific fruit and milk packages based on family preferences. The customer service I received while buying this product was amazing as well.
This will really come in handy. Although it is expensive, this will give you a lot of food.
This is great storage1 of 1 people found this review helpful
If you look at the contents of this package, you really have everything you need for a well rounded diet for 12 months. That's a great deal.
Buying a 12 month, pre-packaged, supply takes the guess work out of stock up.

Took a LOT of time researching these kits across a bunch of different companies. This kit seemed just right for me, full of just add water meals which makes it super easy to use. It is balanced with the right mix of foods and the variety is great. Aside from price being really good the quality is also great. I have opened up a couple cans already and am really happy with it. Now the trick is not getting into it when the fridge is empty.
This is a great starter kit to get you going. To maximize caloric intake daily I suggest also purchasing value buckets of Instant Rice and Oatmeal. This is a low cost way to get a lot of extra calories per day. The Ready prep is definitely the way to go vs the Flex and Classic because you don't get a bunch of Wheat and grains that need to be processed. The Ready Prep is awesome in that all you need to do is add hot water. Remember to store a ton of water. We are installing a second well with an old fashioned Hand pump so when the power goes out we still have fresh water straight from the earth. This would solve most peoples long term fresh water needs (which are probably the least prepared for). I wish I had an extra $3000 right now as I'd be buying this package to get my family up to a full 2 years of storage.
Stay away from this package deal!!!6 of 6 people found this review helpful
I have purchased from the Ready Store several times. This is the first time I was disappointed. Of the 12 cases I received, one case was rice, one case was peach or apple drink, most of one case was noodles, most of one case was mashed potatoes. Lots and lots of carbs, many entrees had NO meat. I was very disappointed with what I have received for this order.
From The Ready Store:
Dennis, the ReadyPrep 2000 kit was built with several goals in mind. One for ultimate variety, to see the class leading variety click the "What's In The Box" tab to see the 51 different products that make up this kit. Two, a great price that delivers 2000 calories per day. Third, is nutritional needs. While not all meals have meat in them, you can see by clicking on the Nutritional tab that this kit does provide over 130% of your daily protein needs. As for carbohydrate levels, this kit provides 150% of your daily requirements. Customers looking to buy a low carb diet should look specifically for supplies that contain almost entirely vegetables, meats, and some fruits like berries (low sugar fruits). Dennis, we will be in contact with your shortly to see what we can do to turn your experience around so that you are happy in the end, our goal with every customer's transaction.
