    For a long term storage option, Mountain House is one of the finer tasting brands. Price reduction makes this a great choice.

    I ordered a large selection of sample packs to try & see what we liked. To make a long story short, I only took a small amount out of the pot to try & left some for my wife to try needless to say when I went back to get the rest of my half of the food my wife had already ate the rest of it. So yes all the foods we have tried so far have been really good & we are thinking about buying a supply to keep on hand just to fix for a quick meal at night.

    I love beef stews, but hate the time it takes to prepare homemade ones. Now I have a choice. This entree is delicious. The taste is just right for my husband. I find it a little on the salty side, since I hardly use any salt. So I just add some freeze dried veggies to mine. Still no cooking involved. This is great if you have unexpected guests staying for dinner. Instead of rushing to the store, I open my pantry and go through my stash of freeze dried entrees!! Its like having a cook in the pantry. Just wonderful.

    It's priced a little hight but it makes up for it in taste. Add to rice for a full meal.

    Great taste. Price is high but a good deal on sale. You might want to had hot sauce to spice it up a bit.

    This was just perfect and love that it lasts so long. This will be divine to use in emergencies, like we're eating out or I spent all day in the kitchen.

    This is one of my favorite soups! Long shelf life means you can store it and forget it. Beef stew is one of my comfort foods, so this will definately help out in the event my family needs it!

    This is as close to actual stew that I have tried and tasted so far, the (meat) is a little rubbery but is all through out the stew and with pleanty of veggies...
    I added 2 1/2 cups more water than it called for, a 1/2 cup marinara sauce mix and some pre-cooked pasta elbows , salt to taste and ta da mock minestrone soup ..

    Buy in a pouch before hand and then you will know what is needed. Most h20 estimates and soak time are off as is the case here. This is no big deal for me as I add Rice anyway. Add HOT water - let soak for 20mins. That should do a pouch - taste it - If it needs more add some. Make Notes ON THE CAN when you buy it. This is a good meal starte! Taste is above average.

    Again, only 10 servings? Saratoga Farms is so much better when it comes to price and quantity. Tastes about the same.

    Agree with other reviewer that the meat is a little rubbery. I'd recommend adding more water than they recommend on the package. Mixed mine with a half cup of white rice.
