eggs and ham
6 of 12 people found this review helpfulThis is the first time I have tried the eggs and ham, there was lots of ham and good size pieces of egg. There is a real smoked flavor to the ham, quality was great, as always with Mountain House!!

Ok eggs
2 of 3 people found this review helpfulI think that eggs packaged like this usually get a bad rap, especially military ones, but these were designed for the civilian stomach, so they are pretty good.

Surprisingly Good
I've never knowingly eaten anything freeze dried, except instant coffee, so I had no idea what to expect. I followed the directions for the eggs, ham & peppers to the "T". After 6 minutes I took a fork full. The smoked flavoring was slightly overpowering, but helped make the taste interesting. The texture of the eggs was very close and peppers were good. The first bite of ham was a little hard, but softened later. I would give an extra minute to the waiting time.
I knew that how I felt about it would not be the final say, so I gave a fork full to my wife. Not only am I still here to review this, but she asked to share the pouch. Realistically, we all know it's not a gourmet meal, but we (my wife and I) could happily survive off it.

Good serving, odd combo
4 of 5 people found this review helpfulThe ham/peppers combo tasted a little odd to me. I do like the one serving size vs. the larger pouches, it's perfect for 1 person. The eggs are good too, just make sure you let it sit the proper amount of time!

Unacceptable
95 of 180 people found this review helpfulI had high hopes for this combination and was truly disappointed with the taste. The eggs and peppers were completely overpowered by a burnt ham like flavor with a distinct aftertaste. I have had many other MH products that were fantastic, this was not one of them.
