Great product15 of 30 people found this review helpful
We grew up in ‘meat and potato’ families, but meat is now expensive and eating meat alone is not the best for our health. I always keep TVP on hand and often add it while cooking. It helps stretch the meat and no one even realizes it’s in the dishes I make. TVP makes a great addition to meatloaves, tacos, chili, sloppy joes, meatballs, or is anything seasoned. It keeps forever, needs no refrigeration, takes very little space, and is healthy. Since its cost is so little, I’d suggest everyone buy some and experiment with it. It just may become a staple in your pantry too.

If you not into getting wheat and a grinder and all that stuff to make bread or tortillas, you could just get some cans of pilot crackers to go with something like this.
Cost Effective Protein Source1 of 2 people found this review helpful
After reviewing many sites, we choose to purchase our TVP through Readystore as you get qualty product as a very good price. Although each of us may different results to the taste test, it is clear that this product is a cost effective way of storing protein for emergency situations or to have on hand for daily use. Personally, my wife and I like the flavor and add it to a wide variety of dishes.

I would definitely stretch this my making a hearty taco soup. Just use a beef broth or bouillion, the taco mix TVP, freeze dried beef, can of tomatoes, corn, favorite beans, onions, macaroni and a package of taco seasoning if it is not very flavorful. Remember: most salad dressings can be used to flavor any soup.
Good, I add it to my beef to make it last...
I usually have several people over at my apartment for different meetings or events. I use several scoops with one pound of beef and cook it up, no one knows the difference, and it is super easy to make... try it, you will like it, my guests do. It is cheap in price only, not flavor! Best wishes to you all...
You won't mistake this for real ground beef, but the taco flavoring makes this TVP a great substitute. Very good in soups as well.
These are our favorite tvp product. I use them all the time. They are a bit salty, so don't add salt to what you are making. Very good product.
