I actually really like the TVP, it's cheaper, has the nutritional value and I think it makes your food storage more friendly for people who do not eat meat. At first it seems a little alien when you hear about it, but if you eat fast food you are putting much worse artificial things in your body. TVP carries a stigma sometimes, but it shouldn't.
Very nice and crunchy TVP
I know that TVP sometimes gets a bad rap, but I personally like it. It is a good, cheap, and convenient way to add protein to your diet. I really like the taste of these bacon bits. They are very crunchy, and are SO MUCH better than the cheaper products you would typically find in the grocery store. Also, the kids love it! Nice on soup, salad, scrambled eggs, omelet, and hardboiled eggs… you name it! I highly recommend adding this product to your pantry for both everyday use and to your long term storage!
Who doesn't like bacon?!
These little bacon flavored bits really add a punch of bacon flavor!
good price lots of servings
There are many things you can add these little gems to for a extra boost of flavor. Just let you imagination run wild!! beans, soup, eggs, in biscuit mix.
Great for salads.
We love adding these to green garden salads. We use them to refill our store brand bacon bits table container.
I make a BLT with these bacon bits as I am not supposed to eat real bacon. It tastes quite good.
A Nice Flavor
This sweet and sour dish will add a nice change of pace to your food storage.
A Real Favorite
Bacon Bits is one of my favorites. I like to use this as an additional ingredient with oatmeal, rice, beans and so many other items that need a little additional flavor. Its a real bonus that this is not a real meat bacon product but a flavored vegetable product so it is much more benificial to the body's health.
Great for salads!
I have lots of regular tvp, and I bought this flavored one to put on salads. Great way to add crunch and bacon flavor to any dish! I prefer the flavorless and the bacon flavor TVP. If you don't have TVP you are missing out! I think it is one of the most versatile ingriedients ever invented but not found in most grocery stores. Great inexpensive way to add protein. Makes great chili, veggie burgers, I add it to stuffing for stuffed peppers and turkey stuffing.
