Good for long term storage
Usually hard to find in a #10 can!
Add to Your List
I have lots of oatmeal and grain cereals, the calories and flavor that this will add will be great. I could buy sugar and brown sugar from the grocery store but I especially like that it will be good for 30 years and sealed in a can to keep possible rodents and bugs out.
This is great
Having brown sugar in your food storage will serve a great purpose for baking in emergency situations.
A quality product
This can be used in a lot of recipes. It's nice to have.
Nice Basic Item
If shtf brown sugar will be a very nice luxury item. 30 yr shelf life is a huge plus.
A great thing to have post SHTF as a morale booster. Fresh soft brown sweetness when the world seems like its gone to hell will be a mood booster.
Good for emergency reserve.
Although an equivalent weight of brown sugar in standard packaging would cost you only about $7, it will not store nearly as well as this in sealed cans, and who needs to be pounding on bricks of sugar in an emergency? (Not to mention emergencies include discovering you are out of brown sugar to make whatever you were planning on when the dinner guests are already on the way.) As usual with many storage foods, I'd suggest waiting for a good sale and using any other discounts you have available before stocking up on this, but it's definitely useful to have a couple of cans of brown sugar in the cupboard for a rainy day.
It was clumped up somewhat, but the flavor is very good.
