I have lots of oatmeal and grain cereals, the calories and flavor that this will add will be great. I could buy sugar and brown sugar from the grocery store but I especially like that it will be good for 30 years and sealed in a can to keep possible rodents and bugs out.

A great thing to have post SHTF as a morale booster. Fresh soft brown sweetness when the world seems like its gone to hell will be a mood booster.

Although an equivalent weight of brown sugar in standard packaging would cost you only about $7, it will not store nearly as well as this in sealed cans, and who needs to be pounding on bricks of sugar in an emergency? (Not to mention emergencies include discovering you are out of brown sugar to make whatever you were planning on when the dinner guests are already on the way.) As usual with many storage foods, I'd suggest waiting for a good sale and using any other discounts you have available before stocking up on this, but it's definitely useful to have a couple of cans of brown sugar in the cupboard for a rainy day.

Brown Sugar is the necessary in many meals, especially desserts, and makes food often much tastier! Make Your Food Storage Exciting
Brown Sugar is a common ingredient in many meals! Make all kinds of dishes with other supplies like peaches, oatmeal, creamy wheat cereal, and much more! Having the staples of food storage--like wheat, instant milk, honey, and salt--is important, and will help protect you and your family in an emergency. However, it can often be not enough. Nearly every recipe you're familiar with requires something more than those four ingredients, and while they may help you and your family survives during a disaster, they likely won't promote good health or good eating. That's why it's so important to have a variety of baking supplies in your food storage. In case a disaster cuts off your supplies for days or even weeks, if you're able to still maintain your normal diet as much as possible, you'll be able to keep your stress levels and those of family members down. This means you'll be healthier, and you'll be able to think better in crisis situations.

Saratoga Farms™ Brown Sugar is a quality baking ingredient that will help balance out your food storage. Whether you're using it as a baking ingredient or just as a way to sweeten up healthy foods like oatmeal or fruit, this Brown Sugar is a great addition to anyone's food storage. You don't have to use it just in emergencies either. Sometimes, you just run out of Brown Sugar in the middle of baking cookies, or you're too tired to run to the store to pick up just one ingredient. In cases like these, it will be smart to have a backup case of Brown Sugar so you won't have to inconvenience yourself. Simplify your life and get some peace of mind with Saratoga Springs Brown Sugar!
