Nice to see cereal added to the Value Bucket
I have two "health food" brand cereals in my pantry that have 6 to 13 grams of sugar. This one has 11 grams of sugar. I'm glad the Ready Store is offering cereal, especially in the value buckets.
I like the new cereals
They are all great options for your long term storage.
These are just as good as the brand names.
Nothing tasted off. The frosting is just a tiny bit more fragile than the brand names (a lot of unfrosted biscuits) but still have the same level of sweetness.
These are thicker and more filling than the "Brand Names" so keep that in mind when considering serving sizes.
Concerns about shelf life
I'm a little worried about the shelf life of these cereals, because there hasn't been enough time to actually test the quality of this product over an extended period. The given shelf life is a "best guess" and I'd rather invest in more time-tested products like oats and wheat cereals. Maybe I'll try these sometime in the future.
From the Ready Store:
Kathryn, thank you for your valued feedback. The Ready Store is very careful when launching new products to look at the composition of the ingredients in each recipe to determine the appropriate shelf life of the product. We plan on being in business for years to come and proudly stand by all our products.
