    I think it is good to have both the value buckets and the #10 cans. I would not want to try to haul a lot of value buckets or open up a value bucket without having many many recipes planned in order to use it up in a year (that is, if you have a small family).

    These are inexpensive and good to have for food storage. They have a long shelf life and can be used in recipes or as a side dish.

    You might be able to find pintos cheaper at the grocery store, but it's nice to have them already pre-packaged for long term storage. Time is money, and it's great to not have to buy in bulk and can/bag it all myself. Love pinto beans in lots of dishes, but especially with some rice and chili powder, yum!
