  I was very glad to receive my can opener with longer handles and large turning crank. It is sturdy built and at 12oz. it felt good in the hand. I wanted to try it out right away but wasn't planning on opening another #10 can for a few days; however, I did need to open a 15oz. can of whole kernel corn for some soup in the crockpot. This would be one of the smaller cans and I was courious as to how the opener, which was designed for large cans like #10, would perform on the small can. It did great. The can was so easy to open I was glad that I had chose the manual opener instead of the electric opener that was only inches away from my hand. This long crank handle will be a true blessing for anyone who has arthritis in their wrist or arm.

  The bigger handle makes it easier for smaller hands to get more leverage to open a can than the can openers with the small twist handle.

  Just received my can opener. Soooo glad I added it to my prepping. I have tried all non-electric type openers without much luck. This is the one I've been searching for! I've wasted so much money on trying to find just the right one and ended up throwing them away and $$$s in the trash. I have arthritis so it's a must to be able to open all sizes of cans easily and without pain. Highly recommend this one.

  This can opener is well built and so easy to use. I don't think I'll ever go back to using my old one. Very smooth operation.

  I love the large crank handle. After my husband almost severed a finger using a traditional opener with just a knob, I had to get this. No more kitchen accidents opening up cans!!!

  Imagine if the SHTF and you didn't have a heavy duty can opener. Your dollar store special gives out and your canned goods are useless. This is cheap insurance. This truly is a heavy duty can opener!
