A friend of mine bought these and told me about them and so I got myself some too. I do think that food is going to be worth more than gold when this whole thing falls apart so that is why I got them. It was cheaper than buying a bunch of food storage. I like how they are packaged also and heck I could trade them if I needed too.

These seeds are really packaged well in the mylar bags and it makes it so convenient to store. I am not planning on using mine until I have to, so I wanted to make sure the packaging was solid and I was happy with it. The plastic tote it comes in is a little flimsy but the mylar pouches are great.

After prepping for awhile now I relaized that seeds should but part of my prep. I grown some things in pots and a very small garden. Tomatoes strawberries etc. but never though about this to much. But what happens when we want something FRESH< Seeds are the answer and it will be the next thing I buy!!!!

I was absolutely amazed when I received my seed safe. It was hard to believe that all those seeds fit into the container. Very easy to find a storage spot for that size.

The Ready Blog had an amazing article on a square foot garden, meaning 4x4 or 4x8, however big you make it. Either way, amazing article and hope you all read it. Perfect for the starting gardener. Anyway, on topic, these seeds are perfect and will be gold in the end. They go well with the garden, provide priceless nutrition, and can be used in the barter system as another reviewer mentioned. Even gold means nothing when there is no standard, but the well being of a family is priceless.

Received my 1 acre seed safe and am extremely pleased with how it is packaged. The seeds are packages in resealable mylar bags and the seed packets are stored inside a plastic tote. The seeds have a 5 year expiration date but could last even longer with proper storage. I wrote the date received on the outside of the tote and stuck it in the freezer for safe keeping.

I started a garden and didn't take the time to plant correctly. I ended up crowding my carrots and they didn't grow. Some friendly advice, follow directions and take your time. Turning over the soil is the hardest part. Gardening is very hard and takes a lot of water (everyday). Don't wait until trouble comes to learn how to grow a garden. Learn about the bugs in your area and how you want to treat the vegetables if they invade your crops. You might want to start out with the 1/2 acre and learn from those seeds before using the 7 acre amount. It is well worth the investment of time to learn these basics.

I bought this to go in my emergency stash. I figure that once my canned items are gone, I will need to be able to sustain on my own. This is a great product. It is packed well, it is super light and small. Be sure that you know what to do with your harvest though. It won't do you any good to have this, reap it for one year and not know how to re-plant from your harvest.
If the stuff hits the fan and we don't have the ready access to food we do now, people who have this are going to be in much better shape. I plan on using this one to see how well the seeds kept and then purchasing another.

That's what non-hybrid seeds mean to me -- safety. Food storage can last just so long. However, a seed safe insures healthy, wholesone foods for years to come.

I have one acre of land and want to stockpile enough seeds to plant my entire yard if I have to (SHTF). I would recommend any homeowner get this and store it in your freezer if you can (freezing seeds will help preserve them).

So you aren’t just buying enough heirloom seeds to fill an acre for one year—you’re buying a garden that will last beyond your lifetime.

And this isn't just a garden of very basic, bland foods. To prevent boredom and promote a balanced diet, our Ready Garden contains 21 different types of seeds, including tomatoes, lettuce, broccoli, watermelon, pumpkins, jalapeños, and many others. These seeds even come in different varieties; for example, we included a sweet pepper, which is good for salads and stir frying, and a hot pepper, which is a great seasoner, and goes well in salsa. In the end, you'll have a whole garden full of produce that can be used in thousands of different recipes!

Every one of these seeds has been dried carefully and placed in triple-sealed Mylar pouches so they will retain their nutrients and ability to produce food, but so they will also last many years in storage. The Ready Garden has almost 25,000 seeds, so you will have more than enough seeds to make some mistakes but ultimately produce a large harvest. This full acre of food can be used to feed your family, generate extra income, trade for other goods, can and store for winter, and harvest more seeds from so you can do it all again the next year!

Due to its special packaging, the Ready Garden's heirloom seeds can last up to 5 years (although we have had customers tell us that they've used these seeds after 10 years of storage, and everything grew very well!), so all you have to do is purchase them once and then store the seeds away for the day when you really need them. And each of these Mylar pouches is snugly tucked into our food-grade 1-gallon plastic container for easy access and easy storage. It has a lid that, once you snap it on, it's not going anywhere—unless you tear the tab. In that case, the lid has a groove where it bends and gives you easy access to all your seeds.

Other companies sell emergency seeds that claim to have a long shelf-life but they only wrap their seeds in one layer of Mylar, or they say they have properly dried their seeds yet don't have the proper levels of moisture to keep the seeds alive. We make sure you know exactly what you're getting when you buy our product by putting a label with the packaging date and location, germination rate, weight, and purity of the seeds provided right on the triple-layered Mylar pouch. Each of these pouches can also be resealed with the sturdy zip-lock top, so it will be easy to re-store harvested seeds in these already-labeled pouches!
