How to Compare Products
Flipping back and forth between pages when trying to compare products can result in a real head ache and leave you more confused than when you started comparing. I often find myself flipping back and forth to find the best prices, quality or features in closely related items, but after getting lost, mixing up my information, or finding other items that guide me away from my task I end up giving my search up altogether. In an instance like this you might come across the ULTIMATE Dynamo Solar Powered Survival Radio and the DELUXE Dynamo Solar Powered Multiband Radio and wonder what the difference in the features are. We’ve created an easier way to compare these items.
With the simple click of a button you can add these, or any other items, to your compare products list. Doing this will show you these items at the same time with the relevant information located side-by-side, and here’s how to do it:
Step 1- Locate the products that you want to compare. In this example we’ll be comparing the the ULTIMATE Dynamo Solar Powered Survival Radio and the DELUXE Dynamo Solar Powered Multiband Radio. If you find it listed with other items, (shown in the example on the left, below), the “add to compare” link is located directly below where the price is displayed. Click on this link.
If you click on that product and it is displayed by itself, (shown in the example on the right, below), the “add to compare” link is located furthest to the right under the “add to cart” button. (It’s located directly under the “share” link.)
Step 2- Once you’ve added all the items you want to compare to your list, look to the right of your screen under the ‘Related Products” and “My Cart” categories, and you will see the “Compare Products” category. (Shown in the example on the right, below) In that box you then have the options to delete any products you no longer want to compare by clicking the ‘X’ by the product name, or you can clear the entire group but clicking “clear all”, or there’s a big green button that says “Compare Items”. Click that button.
After clicking the “Compare Items” button, the items you had on the list will then be displayed in a new window. (Show on the right, below.)
Step 3-Refer to the new window to find the items you’re comparing side by side. There you will find the many different groups of information next to each other and grouped according to relevancy. This information differs according to the product you are comparing. A year supply of freeze-dried food wouldn’t need to compare battery life to a six-month supply of freeze-dried food.
I hope this little demonstration makes comparing products easier for you and saves you a head ache in the future!
