Love 5-in-1 Survival Aid
I buy dozens of these and give them to my own kids' Scout troops and others besides. They are a fantastic, inexpensive introduction to the ten essentials specifically, and personal responsibility as well. We carefully distribute waterproof matches to store inside after we talk about the advantages and limitations of this sweet, wonderful tool. It's not a professional compass, it's not a survivalist's fire-starter, it's not a terrific signal mirror. It is a great introduction to preparedness and I am very happy to share it with the kids that I am responsible for.
Nice to have a few of these around
I bought several of these, one to keep in the car, one to keep in my purse, etc. They are small and can be kept in many convenient places just in case.
All I can say is: Don't leave home without it!
A small but mighty emergency tool. The whistle, compass, flint. signal, mirror and match compartment all work together to help survival. I'm ordering another 2 just to keep in the glove compartment and of course my bug-out bag.
I have one of these for each bag that I have packed. They are cheap and easy. Multi-use and lightweight!
I bought several to give to the kids. I also use it for my matches. Good for tackle box or in the car.
Great Little Item
This is great to keep in BOB and glove box. So many features in one little item that doesn't take up too much space. The whistle works well.
Real loud, holds matches
Handy item, is loud, holds a good number of matches or flint scraper
We bought several of these for the camping bags! The kids loved to get their own! Cheap enough to buy extras for all family members. It could be me but the only complaint I have is the flint doesn't seem to work very well on these? Not a huge issue as I keep a separate flint in my bag anyway.
A very hand item to have in case of trouble. Whistle is very loud.
Great item to have
I have bought several of these to put in every car and all of our hiking backpacks. A very handy product to have!
You get what you pay for
I saw this online and ordered 7 to put in all our survival kits and give a couple to my family members thinking it was an all in one survival tool. The thing that attracted me to it was that it had a magnesium fire starter flint. Well, be aware that this is a thin, 1/2" piece that looks like a piece of lead from a mechanical pencil. I was expecting a more substantial magnesium tool. Had this come with waterproof matches inside the compartment that might have made up for it. Now I am faced with having to purchase seperate magnesium fire starters and pay a ton for shipping again.
