This is a great little radio/light. If only it was waterproof, then it would be really good, I would rather have that.

I spent a considerable time researching the best option for a small packable weather radio and it lead me to this one.
The build quality is good, it is light to carry and has multiple options.
The crank mechanism is much better than any I have purchased from local stores and the longevity of the charge is excellent.
It is agreed though that a waterproof housing would make this near perfect.

I bought this little radio for our emergency storm kit. When a storm hits, the power stays out for days, I am just starting out and funds are limited. So this seemed to provide the most bang for the buck, and it does! Its compact size makes it perfect for our kit plus it has a ton of features that are extremely handy for someone starting out. The only thing that I am disappointed in is the fact that its not splash or shockproof, however I don't plan on hiking about with it. As I stated before, this radio is perfect for someone starting out and also would be great in a car kit.

I love mine. It's small and light; has all the stations I wanted. The charge holds long enough and is easy to crank. The only problem I've had is with the tiny antenna, but I've always been able to rig something up.
