"I ordered 4-person deluxe kit and it was 30 days backordered to begin with. I also ordered some extra porta-john chemicals and bags w/ the kit, and those items shipped early, but I was charged for the entire order about 30-45 days before the kit was shipped. The kit was shipped 45-50 days after original order, so I called The Ready Store and asked for a discount since the entire order had been charged well in advance of shipment and for the delay on the shipment period past 30 days. I was told no and they don't offer discounts and that partial charges could not be processed for partial shipments.

Lastly, the bucket handle doesn't come all the way up on the bucket while the seat/lid is on the bucket, so portability is limited w/o taking off the top. The bucket handle could have easily been designed so it could have been used while the seat/cover was covering the bucket.

As for the charging in full when a portion of the order has shipped, we are working on changing that in our system as of 05-04-2011. Before this huge spike in demand we were always able to ship full orders or if there were multiple shipments one was never more than a couple days from the other but with this food shortage from our supply chain we have had a lot of new issues we never could foresee and we are fixing them as fast as possible so when a crazy spike like we saw from the earthquake/tsunami in Japan comes again we will be able to have the best experience possible for our customers.

"As much as I hate to think that I might have to use this potty, I knew our family needed it in case of a disaster or earthquake or whatever. We live in CA and so I am really worried about earthquakes and not having clean water for hygiene. I really like that the backpacks come all ready packed and are in the buckets so I can grab them at a moments notice. I am very happy with it."
