I bought a bunch of these for my family's bug out bags (in addition to some other foods). I figured they'd be good for light but dense food while on the go. I plan to thoroughly test them out this summer during our long hiking and camping trips.

This is a really great bulk price! The case is really easy to split up amongst families. The only thing I don't like about the 3 day bars is the weight when they are all together. It can add up quickly, but 3 days of food would be a lot heavier!

These are good for quite a bit past the expiration date, I have eaten one 8+ years after mfg and it was acceptable, they aren't affected by heat, have them on the boat and in each car. You should put a band of duct tape around them in the middle, I had one that the seam popped open on after being bounced around in the trunk for a few years. These are not intended to live off for months, they are to keep you alive and able to function for days, maybe a week.

This was the cheapest case of 3600 calorie bars that I could find online. Shipping was quick, and they will be a great addition to our roadside kits! I haven't tried the bars, but they are well packaged so I know they will stay fresh.
