NEW WEEKLY CONTEST MRE DELUXE
MRE DELUXE Self-Heating Food & Water Supply - ONE WEEK
Be ready for any emergency with our MRE One Week Supply of Food & Water. Each supply includes 2 complete meals per day for a total of over 2400 calories per day. During an emergency, you could even ration this One Week Supply to last you up to 2 weeks at 1200 calories per day.
- No cooking or preparation required!
- Aluminum pouch with polypropylene laminate provides extreme durability and slim profile.
- Up to a 10 Year Shelf-Life!
- Trusted quality from military contracted manufacturer!
MREs (Meals Ready-to-Eat) are the operational ration employed by the U.S. military because of they are easy to prepare, extremely durable, self-contained, and provide excellent nutrition and energy. They are the perfect solution for grab-n-go emergency food supplies such as 72-Hour kits and are an optimal solution for short-term emergency food storage.
An MRE can be eaten cold right out of the pouch, but they always taste better hot, so be sure to include the flameless heaters with all your MRE purchases. These convenient heaters only require a tablespoon of water and produce enough heat to warm your MRE in a matter of minutes without having to light a stove or clean any cookware.
CONTEST INSTRUCTIONS:
THIS WEEK YOU ONLY HAVE TO LEAVE A COMMENT WITH YOUR FULL NAME ! One Entry Per Person. Make sure you put in your full name (first name will not count) and use the best email address to contact you. We will be randomly picking a winner next Wednesday morning. If we can’t get a response from that winner before noon, Mountain Time, we will have to pick a new winner. MREs are great for hiking and camping, which I have always advocated as a fun and easy way to integrate survival skills into everyday life. When an emergency requires you use those skills (and food storage), it will seem less foreign and scary and more fun and adventurous!

July 31st, 2009 at 1:09 pmI love this website and the e-mails. The e-mails give me some great ideas to research further and write articles on emergency prepardness for my CERT newsletter and for our EH&S newsletter at work. And I have to admit, I have plagarized the “better ready years early” phrase and use that a lot when talking to people about getting ready.
July 31st, 2009 at 1:10 pmI have some MREs as we live in a hurricane zone, but more would be nice.
July 31st, 2009 at 1:10 pmGreat Contest!
July 31st, 2009 at 1:11 pmThis is a nice prep for many people.
Keep in mind that you do nt need a fire-since the water plus heater creates the heat! I teach this to students. It is called an EXOTHERMIC reaction.
Also, as long as the package is properly stored (in cool dry, environment-less than 75F-BUT above freezing), it will last for up to TEN years.
Good deal.
Best wishes.
Lawrence Roberge
July 31st, 2009 at 1:12 pmI have bought many things from The Ready Store over the past 3 years. I have always enjoyed them. I have their magnets all over my house and now my friends houses. July 31st, 2009 at 1:30 pmThis would be a great addition to anyone’s preparedness supplies.
July 31st, 2009 at 1:31 pmWe used to eat MRE meals left over from when my husband had National Guard weekends. They were not like home cooking by any means, but interesting. Some had little bags of M&M’s, or 2-inch bottles of Tabasco sauce so while we saw them as food, the kids saw them as something unique and fun!
July 31st, 2009 at 1:31 pmI keep Mre’s on hand as part of my long term food storage, but my two high school aged boys love them, so I have to replenish often. Thanks!

July 31st, 2009 at 1:33 pmLove your products and hope to make another order soon.
July 31st, 2009 at 1:35 pmAlways a pleasure to do business with the Ready Store!
July 31st, 2009 at 1:35 pmWithout question, we are living in troubled times. Man’s impact on the environment has lead to the escalation of natural catastrophes, that would not have otherwise occurred. It seems the course of wisdom to be prepared to the extent possible, to be able to pickup and move quickly if a man made or natural calamity should come our way. Having a go bag therefore is an excellent idea, and we appreciate your company having these things available and encouraging people to be aware, for their own protection and safety.
July 31st, 2009 at 1:36 pmThat is just what I need–portable, heatable, drinkable, liveable!

July 31st, 2009 at 1:41 pmMREs are helpful to me when I go to the mountains here in the NW. They are light to carry and supply me with the calories needed to hike and climb.
July 31st, 2009 at 1:42 pmFunny enough, I like the MREs for the taste of the food. I grew up on a lot of b-side meals, and these things are like nectar of the gods to me.
Thanks, The Ready Store!
July 31st, 2009 at 1:42 pmMREs for survival stash of course, but we use them for hiking and camping and rotate the stash at the house. I’m glad the recent ones are much better than the old ones!

July 31st, 2009 at 1:52 pmMy poor husband had to eat MREs for six months in Iraq … these would bring back “fond” memories if we have to eat them in an emergency.
July 31st, 2009 at 1:57 pmI bought a box of 12 MRE’s and it sure is not something I would eat by choice. But they are not designed for choice.

July 31st, 2009 at 2:06 pmI just spent a month in West Africa. I ate one MRE per day and spent the entire days hiking in the bush. I was afraid I’d get tired of eating only MRE’s for a month. Happy to report I did not and they provided more than enough nutrition and energy to last me the entire day.
July 31st, 2009 at 2:07 pmPlease enter me

July 31st, 2009 at 2:24 pmGood Product for All.
July 31st, 2009 at 2:24 pmWe’ve had practice emergency nights. One night we had MRE’s they weren’t too bad. The boys enjoyed them. We all shared 2 meals between 4 of us. Just in case of it being a real emergency we even shared those. It would keep us going for more than 1 week.

July 31st, 2009 at 2:32 pmHave enjoyed your website for years!
July 31st, 2009 at 2:33 pmMRE’s are a great way to break the ice with my co-workers about creating a food storage plan. Ultimately I end up showing the folks the Ready Store site. It is amazing how much stigmatism there is about being prepared. I find by having an MRE lunch, it is a good way to introduce the concept to people and have time to present it in a non-survivalist way.
Enjoy
July 31st, 2009 at 2:39 pmMRE giveaway is a great idea!
July 31st, 2009 at 2:44 pmThis prize would be a great help to our CERT Team!

July 31st, 2009 at 2:48 pmThis would be a great addition to my hurricane kit. Despite all the stormwater standing around after a hurricane, it’s especially important to have clean drinking water available.
July 31st, 2009 at 2:49 pmWhen I was a Boys Scout den learder we would go on hikes, at frist the boys would bring thier food and we would have alot of trash to take out. It was a mess but after I got the MRE’s meals, wow it was so easy, one very samll trash bag and the boys like the meales. At frist look the scout ask me if this was a test, at frist they were not to happy about what they were about to eat( they would bring alot of junk food)but in the in they were full and happy. The MRE’s help me teach my boys a great leson. Sandy Perlstrom

July 31st, 2009 at 3:27 pmJust returned from hiking trip in the UP. My boys all took a break from swimming training and brought their appettites. I discovered a week supply of food would likely last two and a half days for them.

July 31st, 2009 at 4:35 pmThe last time I ate anything like rations, it was in Viet Nam in 1966 and 1967 and they were left over C-rations from the Korean War. Now I am preparing to shelter more than 100 Developmentally Disabled adults in an emergency as how no shelter can accommodate their needs. MREs would be the “Cat’s Meow”!!!
July 31st, 2009 at 4:36 pmSuper service and great variety of products. Thanks Ready Store!

July 31st, 2009 at 6:06 pmEveryone should try going one week with only a bag or two of beans or rice and 4 cans of tuna then think about going 52 weeks like that. Save Up Yall!
July 31st, 2009 at 6:11 pmIt’s time to stock up folks, there is a lot of uncertainty in the horizon. Thinking about what is the best investment these days? FOOD! Preferreably long term shelf life kind of food. Let’s say that a miracle happens and all gets well sooner than anyone could have thought…no problem, you can still eat the food and always have extra food at home or to take along with you in your great outdoors trips or adventures. Prepare and be safe, good luck to all!
July 31st, 2009 at 6:27 pmI am so curious about MRE’s. Never tasted one in my life. Hope to have the chance. My husband ways they are great. Looks like we will need them to survive in the near future.

July 31st, 2009 at 11:55 pmYarr love your contests!
August 1st, 2009 at 12:09 amWinning this contest would be great! I have been so confused about which type of preparing I should try to start off with. I have COPD so I didn’t know if I could even grab & go at all. I also have Type II diabetes so I was not sure which type of long term storage to aim for freeze dried or dehydrated. When you are on a fixed income of Social Security it is very hard to make these type of decisions. N1H1 has me scared to death! I have been watching the CDC’s announcements on line and I don’t think even they know how to fight this flu. An article for us “Oldie’s” with different medical conditions would be great. Please consider this.
August 1st, 2009 at 1:39 amThank You!
Can’t be prepared enough.
August 1st, 2009 at 1:57 amAwesome, can’t wait to start hosting parties, and winning this contest!

August 1st, 2009 at 10:09 pmNO COOKING sounds great to me! My hubby has eaten MRE’s in the military and he’s still alive, lol. This will make a good addition to our other emergency supplies. I pray that we will never need these but if we do we’re ready.
August 1st, 2009 at 10:23 pmThanks
Some friends and I are planning a hke and campout in some old ghost towns. This would be just the ticket!!
August 1st, 2009 at 11:19 pmI bought a box of these and had a “survival party” to check out the tastes…it was REALLY DELICIOUS! The heaters worked great! The food, especially the Southwest Chicken, was well-spiced and very filling. The ease of using the heaters with the MREs and the flavor-tests we performed together really opened your mind to what constitutes an “emergency.” I was really sick once and couldn’t go out shopping for food, husband was out of town, yadda, yadda, and now I would consider opening up an MRE because they taste decent! Thanks again for the opportunity to WIN some!
August 2nd, 2009 at 12:15 amboy..this will come in handy when the grid goes down!!!!!
August 2nd, 2009 at 3:02 amthanx guys..:O)

August 2nd, 2009 at 6:48 amI almost have every thing to survive everything flash lights, generator, batteries, guns, ammo, body armor lol every thing except some of your quality MREs.Thanks for a chance to win..I have a family of four I its hard to make all the preparations for survival in a unpredictable world and since a was laid off in January money is VERY tight. Thanks again for this opportunity. sincerely Joe Messenlehner.

August 2nd, 2009 at 12:00 pmThanks for the fun contests.
I believe that it just makes sense in today’s economy and with the changing weather patterns to have MRE’s, water and other essentials on hand. You just don’t ever know what is around the corner and it is wise to try to have all your bases covered.
The prices are great and the selection is second to none.
I am very glad that this website exists and offers essentials for the every day person with no minimuns. Can’t go wrong ordering here.
August 2nd, 2009 at 12:29 pmI love storing mre’s, so simple. Much easier and less space than #10 cans.
August 2nd, 2009 at 1:08 pmGetting MRE’s will complete my food storage program.
August 2nd, 2009 at 1:14 pmCool!!!
August 2nd, 2009 at 1:31 pmThis is a bit better - thank you. I haven’t liked, and have found the previous ‘games’ invasive. I do not enjoy being jerked through hoops, and was, in fact, considering deleting your company. I appreciate you treasting me more like a human rather than a ‘work unit buying Product.’ I also look forward to seeing MREs that are built up to MilSpec - or better.
August 2nd, 2009 at 1:42 pmThank you.
Jase Valentine

August 3rd, 2009 at 6:22 amThese MREs’s sound like a great idea. However, I am wondering if you can list the lowest sodium content ones separately for people with hypertension and/or are on a salt restricted diet. Thanks!
August 3rd, 2009 at 6:53 amI have never tried MRE’s, looking forward to trying something new & sharing with my family.
August 3rd, 2009 at 6:57 amI enjoy the freedom that Mres give my family. I always take 3 day supply when traveling. My father always kept a seven day supply. He turn a weather related issue into a home base canp site. It gave us relief without any stress.
August 3rd, 2009 at 7:03 amAs a mother of three little ones we also take a 3 day supply when traveling. The Mres are great way to save on space. We are just starting out so we don’t have a lot of food storage but we add a little over time so wish us luck.
August 3rd, 2009 at 7:20 amI am pleased with the selection at the Ready Store.
August 3rd, 2009 at 7:57 amI have recommended this site to many of my friends.
MRE’s are great for weekend hiking trips. They take up little space in the my pack and add little weight.

August 3rd, 2009 at 10:04 amThese are MUCH better than those found from some other retailers! I keep some at home, in the car, and at work!
August 3rd, 2009 at 10:32 amWe need some of these…
August 3rd, 2009 at 10:40 amYum, MREs!
August 3rd, 2009 at 10:46 amBe prepared for the unexpected!
August 3rd, 2009 at 11:33 amMRE’s are to preparedness as high fructose corn syrup is to _________?
August 3rd, 2009 at 11:56 amYou guys have great contests! Thanks! I would love to win this.

This is a great contest.
August 3rd, 2009 at 1:37 pmSounds great!
August 3rd, 2009 at 2:57 pmI like the MREs for two reasons.
First, when you consider preparation time and quality, they are unbeatable. Keep in mind that preparation time CAN BE as little as zero seconds since they do not have to be heated.
Second, if sharing with those less fortunate, MREs are the very quickest way to share with one person or a family, since no measuring is required and no pails or cans have to be opened.
August 3rd, 2009 at 3:18 pmfor anyone old enough to remember c,rats this is a nice change. i liked the eggs and ham but have some trouble finding the equivolent. the crackers break up too easy. the bread is o.k. the pork slices are tasty. those energy bars are good but a bit chewy. these comments are from a person who has actually eaten these products and not trying to win a contest, thank you
August 3rd, 2009 at 4:26 pmGreat…
August 3rd, 2009 at 5:42 pmI ordered the 72 entrees. Have tried 3 of them just to see how they tasted. 2 were ok , but on the bland side. Keep some salt at hand. But pretty good for out they are to be used for. THe stew was the best. Warm them up if you can. The heaters on the give-a-way would be handy.
August 3rd, 2009 at 8:02 pmI have had MREs for many years and consider them great.
August 3rd, 2009 at 8:58 pmJust think, you are tired and really hungry, and if you have MREs, you can eat real soon, rather than a long prep time, etc.
Winning the one week supply of MRE’s would be a great way for me to try them.
August 3rd, 2009 at 11:10 pmThey’re also good to take hunting.
August 4th, 2009 at 4:01 amNice. They ought to come in handy.
August 4th, 2009 at 6:58 amIf I win, I will leave them at my grandparents house!
August 4th, 2009 at 10:25 amMRE’s are a nice addition to the emergency supply because of all the extras they have: waterproof matches, tissue/toilet paper, candy (charms, skittles), salt & pepper, tabasco, drink mixes. When I was in the army we always knew which meals had the best extras in them.
August 4th, 2009 at 10:32 amEmergencies make needs for essentials .
August 4th, 2009 at 11:07 amI’m loving The Ready Store. I’m waiting to be announced the next winner. Blessing to all.
August 4th, 2009 at 1:29 pmAnd the winner is . . . = )
August 4th, 2009 at 1:45 pmMRE’s are the best quick get away food in an emergency or camping!
August 4th, 2009 at 7:09 pmEveryone should be prepared …
August 4th, 2009 at 8:57 pmAre you prepared ???
August 4th, 2009 at 8:58 pmThanks, important to be ready.
August 5th, 2009 at 5:16 amGreat site, great contest.
August 5th, 2009 at 7:48 amMRE’s aren’t bad. My husband ate them alot in military and he has his preference. I just wish they lasted longer than they do. When things do get near their expiration date, i send them with him to work for his lunch. Luckily he doesnt’ complain to much. We hate for things to go to waste!
August 5th, 2009 at 11:34 amAlways interested in your advice for emergency preparedness. Not something I used to think much about.
August 5th, 2009 at 12:02 pmThanks!
I had a testimony of food storage long before I became a Mormon. You have to have no food at all in the house only one time before you know to stockpile; I was there twice, both before I was 22. Never again.

August 5th, 2009 at 10:34 pmBeen using dehydrated meals for years during backpacking trips but the addition of MRE’S will give it variety and it will make my emergency supply not so boring.
August 6th, 2009 at 6:03 amtast good, and easy to fix
August 8th, 2009 at 6:01 amMichael Bostick. Thanks for the chance to win!
