NEW WEEKLY CONTEST MRE DELUXE

MRE DELUXE Self-Heating Food & Water Supply - ONE WEEK

Be ready for any emergency with our MRE One Week Supply of Food & Water. Each supply includes 2 complete meals per day for a total of over 2400 calories per day. During an emergency, you could even ration this One Week Supply to last you up to 2 weeks at 1200 calories per day.

MREs (Meals Ready-to-Eat) are the operational ration employed by the U.S. military because of they are easy to prepare, extremely durable, self-contained, and provide excellent nutrition and energy. They are the perfect solution for grab-n-go emergency food supplies such as 72-Hour kits and are an optimal solution for short-term emergency food storage.

An MRE can be eaten cold right out of the pouch, but they always taste better hot, so be sure to include the flameless heaters with all your MRE purchases. These convenient heaters only require a tablespoon of water and produce enough heat to warm your MRE in a matter of minutes without having to light a stove or clean any cookware.

CONTEST INSTRUCTIONS:

THIS WEEK YOU ONLY HAVE TO LEAVE A COMMENT WITH YOUR FULL NAME ! One Entry Per Person.  Make sure you put in your full name (first name will not count) and use the best email address to contact you.  We will be randomly picking a winner next Wednesday morning.  If we can’t get a response from that winner before noon, Mountain Time, we will have to pick a new winner. (so you might get two chances to win)  Make sure you are checking your email and the blog all day Wednesday!

Keep in mind that you do nt need a fire-since the water plus heater creates the heat! I teach this to students. It is called an EXOTHERMIC reaction.
Also, as long as the package is properly stored (in cool dry, environment-less than 75F-BUT above freezing), it will last for up to TEN years.

    Good deal.

Winning this contest would be great! I have been so confused about which type of preparing I should try to start off with. I have COPD so I didn’t know if I could even grab & go at all. I also have Type II diabetes so I was not sure which type of long term storage to aim for freeze dried or dehydrated. When you are on a fixed income of Social Security it is very hard to make these type of decisions. N1H1 has me scared to death! I have been watching the CDC’s announcements on line and I don’t think even they know how to fight this flu. An article for us “Oldie’s” with different medical conditions would be great. Please consider this.

I like the MREs for two reasons.

First, when you consider preparation time and quality, they are unbeatable. Keep in mind that preparation time CAN BE as little as zero seconds since they do not have to be heated.

Second, if sharing with those less fortunate, MREs are the very quickest way to share with one person or a family, since no measuring is required and no pails or cans have to be opened.

for anyone old enough to remember c,rats this is a nice change. i liked the eggs and ham but have some trouble finding the equivolent. the crackers break up too easy. the bread is o.k. the pork slices are tasty. those energy bars are good but a bit chewy. these comments are from a person who has actually eaten these products and not trying to win a contest, thank you

I ordered the 72 entrees. Have tried 3 of them just to see how they tasted. 2 were ok , but on the bland side. Keep some salt at hand. But pretty good for out they are to be used for. THe stew was the best. Warm them up if you can. The heaters on the give-a-way would be handy.

Just think, you are tired and really hungry, and if you have MREs, you can eat real soon, rather than a long prep time, etc.

MRE’s are a nice addition to the emergency supply because of all the extras they have: waterproof matches, tissue/toilet paper, candy (charms, skittles), salt & pepper, tabasco, drink mixes. When I was in the army we always knew which meals had the best extras in them.

MRE’s aren’t bad. My husband ate them alot in military and he has his preference. I just wish they lasted longer than they do. When things do get near their expiration date, i send them with him to work for his lunch. Luckily he doesnt’ complain to much. We hate for things to go to waste!
