Great to see you guys offer this
Bought some from a competitor a while back and tested it. Really good tasting cheese. I've tried the freeze-dried cheeses and besides being so expensive they just arn't as good in SOME recipes. In that case the Bega does well. Have since bought a good number of cans for our stash.
Wise to stock up
After opening up a 2 1/2 year old can and it still being superb, I would defininitely try to stretch this cheese as far as a could if planning on using it for macaroni and cheese. I would probably add it to the #10 can of creamy soup starter. This also goes well on Wheat Thins or can you eat it the way the French eat cheese, with a chunk of good bread.
Great option for storage
We all eat processed cheese and this is a great item to have in your pantry.
A nice option
This is not a bad price for a case of cheese. I will be getting more.
Makes the most delicious macaroni and cheese, ever! Also wonderful on crackers. The cans are large, so make sure you're sharing with someone or have a way to refrigerate the leftovers.
I love Bega cheese on crackers and in pasta! This sale price is wonderful!
This is a great deal in any situation, cheese with MINIMAL shelf life can cost MORE than this at stores!
So Glad To Have These On Hand
I had to try one before socking the rest away. A wonderful taste and ready to eat. Good for camping and for emergencies.
I Need More Already!
Brought three cans with me on my recent mountain retreat and all of my friends devoured it. Creamy texture and a unique flavor similar yet better than valveta or cheeze wiz. Mix this with Rotel at your next party!
A convenient smaller can of a staple product.
My family will love having these cans in our supplies! Cheese is a staple in our household every day of the year. Mild cheddar cheese can be utilized in so many recipes or just spread on crackers.
Ordered another case of this cheese!
We all enjoy the mild taste of this delicious cheese. It is so handy to have in the pantry and not worry about it spoiling im my fridge when not consumed in time.
like the product
I bought one can to see what it tasted like. to my surprise great tasting easy slicing so buying a case now!
Good product, price could be better.
This is as good as processed cheese gets, and its shelf life is considerably longer than the manufacturer claims assuming you store it cool, dry, and don't dent the cans. If you bang them around, it's also possible to cause the side seam to split, which will do the same bad things to shelf life as a dent that causes a leak at the lid seal. Assuming you treat the cans with respect, though, I can testify that the cheese will remain in fine condition for at least 10 years. I like it very much for sandwiches, somewhat less well for cooking. It's fine if you want gooey cheese chunks in something, but doesn't really melt all that well. For that, you should use either the real shredded cheese sold freeze-dried, or the Jamaican Tastee brand canned cheese if you have something like mac 'n cheese or toasted cheese sandwiches in mind. Other than understanding which uses it works really well for and which it is somewhat less suited for, my only quibble here would be with the price. Even on sale here, it's still $3.36/can, whereas you can find it elsewhere for $3.25 or less if you look around. I bought a dozen cans to make up an order to an amount that qualified for a gift card and also because I had reward points I could cash in and a coupon that gave me 20% off the whole order it was part of. If you're going to be paying the straight sale price, though, you might want to shop around a bit. I see at least one site at the moment with the same Bega on sale at $2.83 per can, no minimum quantity.
