In the summer, it gets to be over 100 degres here. The one thing you do not want to do is heat the kitchen. We also get power outages due to tornados and ice storms–this would be ideal. I’ve been considering a solar oven for years, have no idea how to cook in one, but would love to learn.

We live on the Gulf Coast and in the summer our power goes off all the time. We even had two tornados during this Christmas holidays. I’m a disabled Vet and this would really come in handy. I’ve been looking at Volcano stoves, too. Good health & luck to all.

Two years ago my husband said he could “easily” build a solar oven for me. I’m still waiting. I thought when I saw this offer, I might have a better chance of getting one by entering
