There is no point in having food that will store for 30 years and water that will only store for 5-7 years. Go with the cans! Time is money and you won't have to waste time rotating with these.

I spent a long time researching water storage and when it comes to water nothing seems to store for very long. My father had some canned water from back in the day and it was still good after many years, so I was really excited when you guys started selling this item because it lasts for so long. I have hated rotating my water and being able to store water for 30 years is amazing. Thanks!

The price per case is actually quite good when you purchase over $100 and include the free shipping. Other websites had the same product for less per case, but their shipping cost made the total cost very similar.

Storing water is easy but caching water is not. My caches go unvisited for 10+ years. I cache some canned water since water filters do not remove chemicals and water sources can be unreliable.

One can was slightly dented, so we decided to give this water a "taste test" - It passed and we were pleasantly surprised ! No metal taste, even at room temperature, the taste was great. We are going to keep a few cans in our vehicles.

Canned water is a great idea. This price though is the highest on the web that I found. At least 3 other sites have the price below $35 per case (12 cans of 24 ounces each). I normally purchase from thereadystore, but this is just too high a price no matter how you compare it.

*From The Ready Store: Thanks for the feedback on the pricing, I was able to find two smaller companies after a little bit of of searching that did have it in the mid to low $30 range, and that price is a steal (actually under our cost). We offer products at the best price that is sustainable to keep us in business. I can assure you that we get as good of pricing from the manufacturer as anyone one else due to our volume ordering so who knows why these two vendors are selling it for less than what they paid for it.

Also, keep in mind that we price match on any online retailer's price. Click on the Price Match logo at the top of each page on our site for details.

      • Canned Water? No, not a joke

I tried to think of a good joke to start out this post. Something like “Canned water: Best thing since sliced … water?” and that’s where I stopped. So instead, I’ll just get straight to the article on canned water. History During World War II, the United States decided that they were going to can water in order [...]

A lot of times, we get the question of how often you should rotate your water storage. Water is one of your most important resources and it’s important to ensure that your water supply is good to drink. How often? You should rotate your water every 6-12 months. Keep Your Family Safe in an Emergency
Drinking water is essential for survival and having a supply on tap for 25+ years Feel Confident in Your Preparations
This canned water has a shelf-life of 25+ YEARS, so you never have to worry about it going bad or needing to be rotated. Be Prepared No Matter What Happens
This supply provides enough drinking water for one person for 14 days, guarding against almost any emergency where your water could be cut off or contaminated. Safe Water Supply
Alka Power water is purified with added minerals and increased alkalinity. Don't Make Emergency Preparedness a Chore
Storing water the old-fashioned way can be time consuming and difficult, but with canned water, all you have to do is open the top and it's ready to be consumed! NOTE: The supply duration of 2 weeks is based on using the water for drinking, not for hygiene or cooking. This supply provides 39 ounces of water per day for 2 weeks.

This 2-week supply of water provides you with 552 fl. oz. of water that will keep you and your family safe in an emergency. The water is purified before it's canned and has added minerals for increased alkalinity.

We don't have to tell you how incredibly important water is, especially in a disaster. If you run out of food, according to FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency), "healthy people can survive on half their usual food intake for an extended period and without any food for many days. Food, unlike water, may be rationed safely, except for children and pregnant women." But if your water supply becomes contaminated or shut off because of a natural disaster, you could be in serious trouble after just one day! That's why it's just as important—if not more so—that you store water as well as food.

Storing water can be a pain, though, especially with the more common methods. It's doable, of course, but storing huge tanks of water and either adding water preserver to them, or rotating your untreated water every 6 months can be a difficult chore for some. Even treated water has a maximum shelf-life of 5 years. So why go through all the trouble of purifying and storing water, changing it out every few years when you could just buy it and be done for the next 30 years? This 2-Week Supply of Drinking Water is stored in military-grade cans, and has a shelf-life that's long enough that you'll buy once and never worry again.
